The huge update is finally here, and is now live on all Melchior deployments!

Melchior now has a brand new Modules system - optional feature packs you can toggle on or off depending on what you want for your clan. Each Module will open up new ways to interact with your clan and the entire clan network at large. The first Module available is the Newsletter Module, which lets your clan submit weekly news to the Freedom Alliance Weekly Newsletter. Upcoming Modules are already in development. If your clan has a request for a Module, let us know!

On top of that, the entire website has been rebuilt from the ground up, and is now accessible at http://hd2clans.com. The Clan Directory is now filterable by tags, and Order pages feature new visual charts to track progress over time. You can now log in with Discord to manage your Clan Profile and edit your User Profile, too. Login is handled through Discord OAuth, so all we validate is your user ID number. There’s also a ton of quality-of-life improvements, command updates, and bugfixes packed into this release.

This update improved a lot of underlying systems both in Melchior and on the website. If you run into any weird behavior, try restarting your Discord client first. Most things should work smoothly, but if you notice something off, please let us know in the Melchior-1 Support Discord so we can get it sorted! Without further ado, here we go...

Major Melchior Updates

Added Modules, an extensible framework for optional add-ons you can enable or disable at will. Future Modules will be added over time, letting clans customize exactly which features Melchior provides in their server. Use /setupmodules to view and toggle Modules and adjust their settings.
Added Newsletter Module. Enable it from /setupmodules to let your clan submit weekly newsletter entries that get published to http://hd2clans.com/news and through #freedom-alliance-news. Once enabled, use /news to submit items and /notifs to opt into weekly submission reminders.

Website

The website has been completely rewritten from the ground up - it’s now accessible at http://hd2clans.com

Log in with Discord to edit your User Profile, Clan Profile (logo, home planet, tags, etc.), and more
You can now filter clans on the Clan Directory - if you’re a Melchior admin, log in and set your Tags so people can find you
Logins use Discord OAuth: the site only utilizes your User ID for validation
You can now filter Orders on the main page by type, clan, status (active/pending/concluded), and more
On your Clan Page, filter Orders by type and status
Order pages now display charts showing your progress over time

Managing Your Clan & User Profile

After logging in, you have a full control panel to edit your clan’s info
The Edit Clan panel includes an Awards tab for uploading Award images
Award images can no longer be uploaded via Discord (security improvement) - use the website instead
Edit your User Profile avatar, rank title, player level, and bio
/mycareer now links directly to your user profile page

Command Changes

Removed /clansite — this functionality is now part of /myclan
Use /myclan and /mycareer to see all your info in one place
Added /notifs so users can opt in/out of @Melchior Pings alerts (e.g., Order launches). Tell your members to use /notifs if they want notifications about your Orders.

Quality of Life

You can now participate in Clan Orders and Alliance Orders directly from the Low Sodium Helldivers Discord. We’ll occasionally select Clan Orders to feature there, and all stats and reports will work - meaning clans without Melchior installed can still participate by submitting reports through LSHD.
Orders launch is now more robust - Melchior will alert you in your Command Center if it couldn’t send a launch notification to your Reports channel
Completely rewrote /help command flows
Created a Melchior-1 Support Discord for bot and website support
/clanlead works again. If your clan doesn’t want to install Melchior, use /clanlead to request authority to edit your clan page on the website. Otherwise, just install Melchior - anyone with the @Melchior Admin role can edit your clan page.
Full optimization pass on the website and database - many pages load faster now, and some Melchior functions are quicker. Special thanks to xnShiLong for DB support.
