The 92nd Sapper Platoon

The 92nd Sapper Corps, otherwise known as the “Weeping Angels”, is a unit within the Helldivers that specialize in Anti-Illuminate Operations. Founded on March 14, 2185 by Jericho “Yeng” Constantino - a former propagandist of the Ministry of Truth turned Helldiver - and trained by Tobias M. Cobble - a veteran Helldiver from the First Galactic War brought out of cryosleep - on Heeth, the bulk of the Corps’ members initially consisted of vengeful survivors from Angel’s Venture after the planet was destroyed by the Meridian Singularity. Their numbers grew further when Moradesh and Ivis were destroyed soon after by the Singularity as many survivors flocked to Heeth’s training facilities to avenge their fallen worlds. A precedent had been set during the early days of the unit’s founding by these calamities. Enlistment to the Sappers is not a matter of birthright, but of conviction. Anyone can join as long as they have the unwavering desire to avenge those who have been slain by the Squids.
