In the Super Earth calendar, there’s no such thing as Christmas. Only the Festival of Reckoning, a glorious celebration of peace, freedom, and spending on consumer goods. But this year, citizens have started reporting strange "gifts" appearing in their homes overnight. Some open them to find frozen remains of toasters, others a malfunctioning music chip endlessly looping festive songs.

The 9th Hellraisers have traced this back to a vile band of Automatons, the Caroler Company, which has launched a subversive propaganda campaign to undermine the Reckoning economy by spreading the dangerous idea of free gifts. The Caroler Company is led by the cyborg Mariah Binary, with support from heinous mechanical villains Clank Binatra, Nat King Code, and Ping Crosby. The worst part, however: the gifts they distribute are FREE.

The Freedom Alliance must stop these marauding merrymakers and preserve the sanctity of the Festival of Reckoning.

How to Participate

Melchior-1, the premier Discord bot for Helldivers clans, tracked all stats and participation throughout the event. Starting December 23rd, players could go to the Low Sodium Helldivers Discord, then go to #alliance-reports, and participate there - with full stat tracking, leaderboards, and more.

Players were also able to participate from their own Discord server by installing Melchior-1 - connecting their clan into the network, and letting their clan be fully represented during the event, including on the official event stats page.

This was an Automaton-focused operation. We tracked three metrics:

Automaton Missions Completed
Factory Strider Convoys Destroyed
Automaton Kills

More than 300 Helldivers participated, taking down more than 1.8 million bots. The final tallies for all events stats are available here.

From Dec 23rd through the 29th, we also hosted a fundraiser, with all proceeds to Doctors Without Borders/Medecins Sans Frontieres (MSF)! The fundraiser is on Tiltify - Click this link to go there and check it out.
