The 1st Company was officially established at the dawn of the Second Galactic War, and was the main force deployed on Malevelon Creek as early as February 2184.
Its name, The Bloodied , was chosen in honor of their fallen brothers in the hellish jungles of the Creek.
The survivors of the 1st Company were so drenched in blood and oil that their combat gear was unrecognizable; but they held their ground long enough for all civilians to be evacuated from their sector, sacrificing their own lives to protect their oath of never surrender.
They have been led by Captain Brassknuckles since then, and remain the main strike force of the 9th Hellraisers. Their battlecry, First to Strike, Last to Fall, is a testament of their determination to be the first Hellraisers sent into the fray, fearless and virtuous; they are what the Helldiver Corps would consider model soldiers.
