At the inception of the Democracy Space Station's “Star of Peace,” dissidents deemed unsuitable for the workforce were to be dispatched back to the Center for the Confinement of Dissidence(CECOD). It was here that they were willingly enlisted in the 888th Penal Legion, overseen by its Arbitrators and its unwavering dogma diligently enforced by its Warden. Though they are wayward souls, their service in the 888th offers them a chance for atonement and a form of glory unique within the Federation of Super Earth.
