Founded in 2186 during the Invasion of Cyberstan, the 404th began when a barely ranked Space Cadet, Angry Seagull, made a last stand at the Siege of Autonomy, destroying a jamming tower, calling in reinforcements, and turning certain defeat into total Clanker eradication. Promoted for his valor but deemed too destructive for conventional units, he formed the 404th for Helldivers who value mission completion over survival.
