Clan Conquest: Can Your Clan Take the Galaxy?

To celebrate April Fool's Day, it's time to do something a little different. Something loud. Something that lets every single clan on the network throw down, side by side, on the same battlefield.

So... we built one. It will only be active for 36 hours.

Clan Conquest

At 13:30 UTC on April 1st, a massive territory map goes live at hd2clans.com/clanconquest. Every clan starts with nothing. You show up, your clan drops onto the board, and from there, you expand. Every 5 minutes the map updates. Borders are going to shift, and tiles are going to flip. Are you going to expand your territory outward, or reinforce it and hold it where it is?

Your clan logo goes on every tile you hold. The whole thing plays out in real time on a galaxy map, and anyone can spectate, even without logging in.

How It Works

Every clan gets exactly 100 Reinforcements per tick. That's the same whether your clan has 4 members or 40,000. You can click tiles on the map to decide where your clan's Reinforcements go: reinforce your own territory, push into enemy hexes, or claim empty space.

All your clanmates' votes are pooled together, and the 100 Reinforcements are split proportionally based on where everyone voted. A small clan that focuses all their votes on one tile is just as powerful there as a huge clan that focuses their votes on it - because both clans fight with 100 Reinforcements. So will you use your Votes to put all your Reinforcements on one tile... or will you spread your Reinforcements to build out your territory range?

If you attack a tile owned by another clan, it becomes yours if your Reinforcements outnumber their defenses. But if you don't outnumber their defense right away, your attacking Reinforcements stay on the tile... which means you can engage in a prolonged battle if you both really want the same tile!

The 5-Minute Cycle

The game ticks every 5 minutes. A countdown timer on the page shows when the next update hits. When it fires:

1. Existing defenses decay slightly (use it or lose it)
2. Your 100 Reinforcements land wherever your clan voted
3. Tiles where attackers overwhelm defenders flip ownership
4. The map updates and everyone sees the result

Then a new 5-minute window opens. Vote again, or come back later. The map keeps evolving whether you're watching or not. You may not want to be away from the game board for long, or your territory might get attacked!

You're Never Out

If your clan loses all its territory, you're not eliminated. Hit the Deploy button, and the server drops you back onto the map. Your 100 Reinforcements landing on a single tile can crack any weakened position and gain you a new foothold in the board.

Territory Decay

Tiles you hold but don't actively reinforce will slowly weaken over time. Tiles that get cut off from the rest of your territory decay even faster. This means you can't just grab a huge chunk of the map and expect it to be safe forever. If your clan goes quiet, your borders soften up, and active clans will eat into your land. Defend your turf!

The Map Freezes after 36 Hours

After 36 hours, the Clan Conquest map freezes. Whatever it looks like at that point is permanent. A record of who showed up and what they fought for. No winner. No prize. Just: how much of the map can your clan conquer?

How to Play

When the game is active:

1. Go to hd2clans.com/clanconquest
2. Log in with Discord)
3. If your clan isn't on the map yet, hit Deploy to drop in
4. Place your votes on tiles, then hit Confirm Votes
5. Wait for the tick. Watch the board update. Go again.

Tell your clanmates. Coordinate on Discord. The clans that focus their votes together will dominate the ones that scatter. This is a game of coordination, not numbers. Will you conquer, or will your territory be captured?
