2,000 Clans! A community review

Way back on May 30th, 2025, I launched the first version of what would become HD2Clans.com. It was a web wrapper for the first version of Melchior, basically just a simple frontend hosted on a PythonAnywhere web app that displayed some data from the old Melchior bot's SQLite database.

You can even see how some of the design language still exists on our homepage, even after the big facelift to all the pages and systems. But even since all the way back then, a few things have remained what I see as four core priorities for the whole system's development:
1. The website should run efficiently on all devices, at all times
2. The user experience should be tightly streamlined and easy to learn
3. Melchior and the website should be feature-rich, and serve the entire clan community (whether those who own a clan, are in a clan, or looking for a clan)
4. All aspects of the bot and website should be free, with no ads, cookies, paid features, etc.

All four are things I strongly believe in. And it seems that this resonates with the community, because back in May, we crossed 1,000 registered clans... and today, just four months later, we are now past 2,000 clans!

We deeply believe in the vibrancy of the clan community, and the need to deliver free, extensive tooling for communities both big and small - and are genuinely grateful that you all share this vision. The operating expenses of all systems have increased - and your generosity and support of the site has risen to keep up, ensuring we can keep building and maintaining this all for you. For that, and for your trust and appreciation, we are sincerely and humbly grateful.

There's not much more to say, other than, thank you all for continuing to believe in us. More than 25,000 players are now registered with Melchior/HD2clans, and 4,966 players have found and joined clans using the website - so we look forward to continuing to give you the best clan experience available anywhere in the Helldivers universe.
