The recent campaign against the Illuminate has been an astounding success, but it also solidified a great fear: if the Squids were to commit to a major offensive, Super Earth has lost too much territory to effectively counter.
This cannot stand.
SEAF regiments have already been deployed to Grafmere. The ODSTs have been assigned to support the 277th SEAF Mobile Infantry Regiment, “the Bearers of the Standard.” Led by General Consensus, the regiment hopes to establish a foothold in the Grafsart region where an offensive could then be staged.
However, resistance in the region remains high. ODSTs are thus ordered to aid the regiment in their fight by securing planetary defense cannons and liberating sectors of the city.
Deliver liberty to the foe, Helldivers! And deliver it feet first!
Helldivers, the operation is a partial success. While we did well in supporting the SEAF advance into the city, the Illuminate’s influence via the overships has led to a grinding battle of attrition for the men of the 277th. Despite this, Truth Enforcer reports show that their morale is at an all time high, as is only expected when working with the galaxy’s elite!
