Built on Super Earth during the early to mid - 'Escalation of Freedom' period, the Ranger of Vigilance first served as a normal space combat destroyer for the SEAF Navy, earning its reputation as a navy vessel that responds fast and the crew that fights hard.

Right after the planet of Meridia was imploded by the Helldiver Corps, SEAF now-Reservist Helldiver yolo2083, the current CO of the SES Ranger of Vigilance, received its command in late August of 2124 after completing SEAF Military School and going through Helldiver Corps training on Mars. From there, yolo and the Vigilance received their first deployment orders with SES Dawn of Destruction commanded by a Helldiver Super Private and 326th Cdo. Division Mentor [REDACTED] to suppress enemy forces on the bots and bugs fronts.
During the start of Battle for Super Earth and the Heart of Democracy, it was one of the first ships to respond to the squid's attack, dropping on the first planet that the squids invaded with the Great Host Fleet and fought all the way until the end in mid - May with the Squids' cowardly retreat from Super Earth after the Battle and Final defense of Equity-on-Sea.
After its Helldiver and the ship being officially assigned to the CommissarKai's 326th Commandos Division in 2185, it was one of the millions of ships that responded during the offensive and the ground invasion of Cyberstan, while participating in HD2Clan orders for the commandos, Joint Operation Crucible, reporting in a record 117 times for the Commandos before the gruesome tactical retreat and later after the terminal directive, 80 times in Operation No Diver Left Behind, receiving a 'shout-out' mention from the 326th Cdo. Division's FA Melchior command.
Besides responding to 326th Commando Division Command orders, Vigilance's CO has responded to allied community orders from other Divisions of the Helldiver Corps, such as the Low Sodium Helldivers and StriderofValor's Rangers SESF Regiment. Due to the combat history of the Vigilance, the ship's combat motto, "MORS ANTE INFAMIAM! Officium! Fortitudo! Honos!" was earned through 2 and a half years of relentless service to Managed Democracy and never faltering in the face of the enemy.

Yes, the Ranger of Vigilance does have an old fighting spirit song. The ship's current "official", 'slow' march song is Men of Harlech, with the 'Quick' march being British Grenadiers. These 'Old Earth' British military-origin war songs were rediscovered in a file cabinet back when Helldiver yolo2083 found them in the Super Earth SEAF Military Academy drawer of his dorm. Edit (8/17/2186 - 8/17/2026): While the Ranger of Vigilance's CO, Helldiver yolo2083, 'signed' a reserve enlisted 'contract' with the Ranger SESF under Colonel Strider, becoming a Ranger Private or RPVT, transferring his combat action to them, the ship itself has remained with CommissarKai's 326th Commando Division's fleet and continues combat action under them until further notice.
Edit 8/25/2026: SES Ranger of Vigilance transfer request from the 326th Commandos Div. to the Rangers SESF where it now serves as Ranger Trooper yolo's personal Super Destroyer.
