SES Ashen Oath

The Ashen Oath formally joined the fleets of the 716th Irregulars on May 13th, 2186, after months of refit and modernization intended to return the aging frigate to active combat service. Though the hull itself dates back decades, the vessel quickly earned attention within the regiment for its durability, heavy escort armament, and ability to remain in the fight long after lighter screening ships. Assigned to fleet defense and close escort operations, the Ashen Oath serves as a shield for the larger vessels of the 716th, intercepting strike craft, and hostile attack ships before they can threaten Helldiver deployments or critical support assets. Her railcannon batteries and dense defensive fire make the frigate a prize companion for any Destroyer operating near contested fronts. Within the 716th, the arrival of the Ashen Oath is viewed as a statement of intent. The Irregulars did not just endure the fires of Widow’s Harbor, they carry it into the stars with them!
