Official ships of the Freedom Alliance Navy
Rogue archetype. Fast, stealthy, equipped with torpedo tubes and rapid fire railcannons. Light armor makes it fragile but deadly in the right hands.
The Strigoi-Class Corvette is a forward scout vessel initially idealized in the years after the First Galactic War. Designed principally around an impressive sensor array and large torpedoes augmented with a light direct fire armament, it was envisioned that the Strigoi would act as both picket ship and an ambush predator against enemy fleets while also being able to conduct anti-piracy patrols. The class proved unnecessary as the SEAF transitioned to a peacetime footing, seeing only limited service across the Federation. It remained quietly popular with agents of the Ministry of Truth, however, who valued its ability to intercept dissident communications and locate their sources. The Strigoi was officially retired to mothballs in 2142, where it drifted in silence for over four decades.
Fleet screening vessel. Light railcannon mounts, dual-purpose gun batteries, and Laser PDS provide layered defense for larger formations.
The Liberation Class Escort Frigate is an interwar concept originally designed towards anti-dissident patrols. Only a limited run of the ships were produced before the program was scrapped, despite glowing reviews from local SEAF garrisons regarding the ship's capability and ruggedness. The few remaining ships were mothballed or broke down due to a lack of a supporting supply chain.
Super Destroyer Leader. More heavily armed than a Super Destroyer with increased carrying capacity. Commands destroyer flotillas.
The Freedom-Class Light Cruiser was designed in May 2183, with an initial trial run of four ships built and launched on January 30th, 2184 at the Morgunson Arms Martian Dockyard. Conceived primarily as a "Super Destroyer Leader," the Freedom Class shares several design characteristics with the Super Destroyer used by the Helldiver Corps, and many consider it a direct upgrade of that vessel. The original plan called for an extended trial period to evaluate the design, but the project was tabled and the four prototypes mothballed shortly after commissioning when a cost analysis found that the Freedom Class delivered the operational capability of roughly 1.5 Super Destroyers at more than five times the price. Later in the war, these ships were reactivated and assigned to the 597th Apocalypse Drop Regiment to offset Super Destroyer losses following the Menkent Line.
Mobile forward base. Brings hangars, repair bays, and civilian relief to the frontline when no friendly port is in reach. Supports fleets while also being well-armed.
The Trafalgar-Class Expeditionary Star Base was conceived by the 777th Relief Regiment in 2186, in the opening years of the Freedom Alliance Navy, and designed by Major Nya of the 193rd Illimpiri Support Company. It is neither battleship, nor carrier, nor transport, but a mobile forward base: a harbor carried to the front line. Where a fleet has no friendly port within reach, a Trafalgar takes its place, providing hangars and flight decks, repair capacity, command infrastructure, fleet logistics, and shelter for those it pulls out of the dark. Super Destroyers form the spearhead of any Freedom Alliance battlegroup; the Trafalgar is the backbone behind them.
Ship-to-ship heavyweight; a production version of the much bigger Revenant-Class. Heavy armament and extensive room for landing craft and Exosuits.
The Martyr-Class Battleship is a design revisitation of the Revenant-Class Super Battleship currently deployed with the 8th Night Lords Helldiver Legion. This updated class specifically tackles issues of scale and unique technologies used in the construction of the Revenant-Class to make the overall ship design more easily scalable as the resource cost of the original design made it unwieldy and difficult to produce in the numbers required for the Second Galactic War. While many design features were retained from the Revenant, such as the rapid charge coilgun system or external parasite craft docking for Super Destroyers, they have been scaled down. However, most of the firepower on the ship has been kept, to include the Point Defense Systems and secondary batteries maintaining the same caliber and number of weapon systems... at the expense of crew facilities and much of the Revenant Class's carrying capacity.
Launched October 2185 from Hellsing Heavy Industries. Purpose-built capital ship brawler, born from Operation Scarlett Hope, Project Jutland, and the Super Destroyer Naval Engagement Assessment. Fielded by Freedom Alliance clans under Joint Naval Command.
Launched on October 2185 from the Hellsing Heavy Industries orbiting [REDACTED], the Jutland-class is the pinnacle of the rhetoric "peace through firepower" wielded before the start of the Second Galactic War.
The backbone of any fleet. A versatile warship combining heavy firepower with durable construction, granted to every Helldiver.
Veteran refit of the Super Destroyer. Three dorsal autocannons cover blindspots when in low orbit, at the cost of lower cryo-pod capacity.
The Legion-Class Super Destroyer was developed from lessons learned during the early months of the Second Galactic War. It is, in practice, a refit rather than a new hull. The 597th Apocalypse Drop Regiment began converting its Super Destroyers shortly after integrating the Freedom-Class Light Cruiser into its order of battle, working to a requirement that the ships close the dorsal blindspot above them: a standing weakness during planetary operations, when a Super Destroyer sits in low orbit and cannot maneuver. To answer it, the 597th acquired several spare "Dominion" heavy autocannons and "Bulwark" point-defense systems through channels the regiment has never fully documented, mounting three autocannons along the dorsal spine and four Bulwarks around the hull to give the ship a workable defense while it is held in low orbit.
