SES Mulsanne Straight

The Salamander Naval Forces Liberation-Class Escort Frigate is named for the Mulsanne Straight - one of the longest unbroken flat stretches on all of Menkent.

Before the automaton occupation saw it marked with craters and factories it was famously used for military long range weapons and vehicle research and development. It was also more infamously used by thrill seekers looking to test their mettle at top speed amidst the excessive amount of fire tornadoes ever present in the area.

It is this infamous dare-devil spirit that the SNF Mulsanne Straight hopes to emulate as it maneuvers through enemy fire at top speed to aid those in need.

Affectionately referred to as “The Straight” or “LEMS” (Liberty-class Escort Mulsanne Straight) by its crew, they hold weekly competitions between the shifts for high speed maneuvering and rescue party operations to ensure they’re not lacking when the need inevitably arises.
