SES Soul of Gold

The Soul of Gold has been active since the final hours of the third Defense of Mantes, on the sixteenth day of the second Galactic War. It has been present for many of the most important battles of the war, and garnered a reputation for undertaking extended deployments between returning to dock for repairs.

The crew and Helldiver complement of the Soul of Gold have garnered a particular reputation for attracting misfits- citizens with slightly elevated levels of cultural deviance and independent creativity. This has garnered the vessel a substantial amount of suspicion amongst the more hardline elements of the armed forces and ministries of Defense and Truth.

However, the Soul of Gold has not been purged or the crew sent for re-education, because the ship has maintained a highly respectable service record, contributing well above the average in terms of active participation in most Major Orders. While the crew may be odd, they have not yet crossed the dangerous line into disloyalty.
