During the first invasion of Clasa in September 2184, The SES Defender of Freedom, under the command of a young Commander Wolff, saw it's first taste of war playing a key role in defending and liberating Clasa from the Automatons.
Years later after the formation of the 118th Wolf Pack and the creation of there 1st Division Rescue Rangers, Commander Wolff repurposed the Defender as a mobile Support/Medical vessel earning it's nick name "Freedoms Shield", now it operates to aid fellow HellDivers insuring they make it back home safely so they may continue to fight for Super Earth another day.
