Old word of mouth tells of a figure which broke from the cold embrace of the outer galaxy. Distinctly human, but their origin a mystery.
They spoke of a world like Super Earth, but one which took the wrong path. Unlike us, who prospered under Managed Democracy, theirs tore itself apart in pointless conflict, rendering all inhospitable... and humanity extinct.
They told tales of hostile machines, not dissimilar from the heartless Automatons, which hunted humans for their blood.
They welcomed Super Earth with open arms. They swore to defend our home, our values, and our way of life. They swore to fight our enemies by any means necessary, to save as many lives as possible, and to protect the planets themselves that we hold dear.
Their original Destroyer - the SES Guardian of Humankind - is long gone; lost to the Automaton menace in the Battle of Cyberstan. But its successor stands strong, forever watching the skies of our homes.
