HMS THE TANKARD

The HMS THE TANKARD was a medium-speed, moderately armoured escort frigate whose career began under unusual circumstances. During the Lightning Intercept Campaign, the vessel and its crew were hired into service to defend Yed Prior after its highly trained, battle-hardened soldiers distinguished themselves during a violent bar confrontation. Faced with overwhelming numbers, the crew demonstrated exceptional discipline and combat prowess, ending the conflict swiftly without serious injury or unnecessary destruction.

Deployed to protect Aegis Clan vessels from relentless Automaton attacks, THE TANKARD repeatedly placed itself between enemy forces and the ships under its protection. Despite its modest speed and armour, its crew's discipline and tactical skill proved exceptional.

By campaign's end, THE TANKARD earned a rare distinction:

Not a single ship under its protection was lost.

It became known throughout the Aegis fleet as The Bouncer of Yed Prior
