SES Wings of Gold

The SES Wings of Gold was first deployed after the destruction of Merida; it's first assignment was the defense of Fenrir III and the Xeno-entomology center. Afterwards it would go on to have an extensive combat record. Fighting on worlds all over federation space. It was part of the second fleet group to reach Super Earth when the squids made landfall, and it was one of the first to scour them when they ran. It also participated in the invasion of cyberstan. Where it's auxiliary engines would sustain critical damage due to an orbital cannon strike. This would put the ship out of commission for the next few months. However, once it was repaired its engines burned with a new vengeance. One that would scorch the enemies of Democracy. The ship even became something of a local legend in the further east sectors of federation space among colonists who saw it in action, A local saying spawning from it. "Wherever you see the Wings of Gold, the light of liberty is soon to follow."
