After Angel's Venture was destroyed, trillions in E-710 deposits lay trapped in the debris field too unstable and high-gravity for standard Super Destroyers to work.

Enter the Roanoke a heavy hybrid combat/mining platform built from salvaged extraction rigs, made to lock onto asteroids, bore through for resources, and fight off hostiles while doing it.

On her maiden voyage, a containment breach caused a total comms blackout. High Command wrote her off as lost after three weeks silent.

Our salvage crew found her derelict hull scorched black, drills caked in residue. A boarding party restored power, bypassed security, and overrode her systems before High Command knew she still existed, claiming her for future resource missions.

Now the fleet's primary extraction ship the Roanoke flies the Minutemen insignia a warship reclaimed from disaster.
