There something setting the computers into as he calls it "Look at me mode" or LAM for short. As he checks the computers its coming from a region, that makes hie grab his rifle a little tighter. It's a video message from his wife and son....... that died the last invasion of Super Earth. The reason he joined, the reason he fights, the reason he lives. He thinks how did it turn on tho. He doesnt have any warning system alerts tied to it, why would he. He shuts it off, then sees a S.O.S. beacon alert. He wonders "Did the system glitch?
