St. Stimmy Log 9/8/2185

Log detailing findings on Tarsh, Day 1-2

While doing some recon on Tarsh after a much needed reprieve from Oshaune, I was able to find my home, torn to shreds but intact enough to recognize it as my own. I've been stealthing around for the past 2 days, taking out most minor patrols with the M7S SMG or avoiding them outright. Admittedly this is a side of the war not much scene, but these times we're in are strangers than most when it comes to Tarsh. Being able to complete missions without worry about time has been quite difficult since, as a tradeoff, my stratagems are offline. Ammo conservation has been my biggest concern. Stims, not so much... I always have enough.

However, back to why I was on Tarsh for an extended period of time. I've been missing my home planet and seeing the automaton scum owning my homeland has been... painful to say the least. There's few citizens left her, but the ones that remain are more scared than ever. I've made it my duty to make sure every high class citizen evacuates. The lower class ones can fend for themselves... At the very least, the SEAF outposts are holding and accepting anyone. Most lower classes have been joining up to defend, which I love to see. I've been healing the ones I can but I can only do so much.

I'll continue this log later. To summarize though, I just have to keep saving those who couldn't save themselves. For the [REDACTED]... and for those whom I've lost.

St. Stimmy Log 9/9/2185

Log detailing findings on Tarsh, Day 3. Transmitted at approximately 23:10 Super Earth Standard Time.

I fell asleep in a coffee shop last night, and decided to keep walking until I found the next outpost or settlement. The combination of mud and rain's jamming my scanner, and my helmet's overlay has barely enough power. I've turned it off for now...

Being alive this long is new to me. For the first time in a while, I had to scrounge up some food from inside those store houses. Y'know, the one's by those miniature solar panel plant incubators. I've never really understood the whole food thing until now but damn is it delicious.

After that, I made my way towards another minor outpost. The automatons had mostly cleared out of the area, from what I'm presuming to be a failed mission from some rookies. I went into the city and finished what they started. Truthfully, it's strange to go through an entire mission without Teto-1 or Mission Control backing me up. It's lonely out here without Teto-1 chatting with me while she's re-arming.

Anyways, I didn't find too much resistance as I went along, and eventually was able to get the civilians evacuated. Most of the higher class ones were a bit scrawnier than normal, but that's to be expected on this planet after being cut off for this long. It's... They're fine. I then ended up finding a house to rest in for the night.

I remember when the 501st was on Popli IX. There were so many civilians we'd saved... and so many that died to the wretched Incineration Corps and the fucking Jet Brigade. It was my fault our division fell. Our numbers of civilians saved... The battle of Popli IX... Why did we engage in that? I can't help the voices of those we lost. The times we had. I mean, I'm with a new division but I'm not sure who I am anymore. That old me died and I'm just Stimmy. The diver with a gimmick of constantly using stims all for the medical budget. Fuck... I need stims but I have to save them. The shakes and headaches are getting worse.

St. Stimmy Log 9/11/2185

Log detailing findings on Tarsh, Day 4-5. Transmitted from SSSD terminal at Latitude: 11.43452, Longitude: 161.74257.

Hey uh... I didn't expect to find this, but I think that I may have located my hometown. Of course, it happens to be ridiculously guarded. from my position, I can just barely see it... Of course these damn headaches and hallucinations from the stim withdrawals have made things... painful to say the least.

I haven't found any stims in around 4 hours, and the pack is empty. Travelling through the woods of Tarsh has been a fucking trip.

Hollow. Numb. I put up this facade for the world to see. I'm nothing without stims. I don't even have a proper name anymore, because everything that I can say is spoken for me. It's said, it's done for. I was hopeful. I don't even know if the old me is still alive in there. I can remember bits and pieces. I don't even know if I'm a person underneath. I used to be someone else. Everyone sees me as just the stim addict. I'm not really real anymore, I was someone else. I was someone else. I was something real. I'm just a canvas for others to paint their pictures on. The perception of me is surface at best, and being this stupid clone is nothing. Or maybe I'm all that I can be, that being this fucking stim junkie.

I wonder if anyone will actually see me as me at some point. I highly doubt it, truthfully. I've built such a reputation and the hell inside my head is something that not even stims could cure. I'll always fucking be Stimmy, not.. a person... And despite my best efforts, I don't think there's any escaping.

And even if anyone actually sees this, will it matter? I have a feeling it will be just cast aside, seen as nothing more than deranged ramblings of someone who is too sensitive for their own good. Like anyone would actually know what the fuck I am... I need to find my way off this planet.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/12/2185

Log transcribed via Shipmaster Avery.

We intercepted a message coming from St. Stimmy this evening at around 18:30 Super Earth Standard Time. We're unsure as to how they calling, but we have a proper heading as to their location. Combining that with operational data and the lack of substantial movement, we believe that they're beginning to experience the cellular breakdown of not consuming stims and existing way beyond operational lifespan.

Their message has been redacted by order of High Command.

St. Stimmy Log 9/13/2185

Log detailing findings on Tarsh, Days 5 and 6

Day 5 (cont.):

I found this... strange research facility in the middle of a destroyed colony today. While mostly destroyed from the top, there was a bunker door there... I'm not entirely sure what's in there and the door is stuck. I've been looking around for any way to override the power supply to get in, but so far, I've found nothing.

Day 6:

I found myself a back entrance. I blew the door open with my last grenade. This place is... it's weird, to say the least. There's just endless hallways and corridors. At the very least, there is some power still running here. I can't help but feel my head continue to pound, as if my very skull is trying to pry itself apart from my body. At this point, not even stims have been effective in curbing my pain. I can't help but think that my body is way past operational capacity. It's pleading to be free from this realm, but I cannot let it. I must persevere.

I've also somewhat re-established contact with the SES Hammer of Justice. My SOS was able to get out so I will be able to send for evacuation in the city. I didn't fully expect them to come back for me, but I think it's because I haven't been printed out in a while.

The lab. Right. This lab area. Just... hallways. I've scrounged around for any data and so far, not a whole lot. I nabbed a spare SSSD to grab whatever I can. And apparently Teto-1 missed me, which is kinda cute I suppose. It's weird, I don't expect it.

I'm lost. I'll update later when I can get evac. For now... I'm surviving.

SES Hammer of Justice Transcription Log 9/14/2185

Log detailing [REDACTED]

Shipmaster Avery: What do you mean, you lost the backup?

Cypher: We lost the backup of St. Stimmy's consciousness. It only uploads when they're dead, and we don't have connection to their helmet. Ergo, we can't upload their consciousness and put it into the copy. And the backup automatically deletes itself every 24 hours and replaces with the newest version...

Shipmaster Avery: ...is no longer- Yeah, I figured. Fuck... Recon squadron has supposedly tracked down the relative location of Stimmy. What's the operational lifespan of a subject?

Cypher: We're unsure at this time, ma'am. All previous trials had led to failure after 72 hours. We've been able to get bits and pieces from the brief moments their vitals system that everything is in some sort of failure. The only thing keeping them together at this point is the meager amount of stims they've found alongside... actually being human.

Shipmaster Avery: What exactly do you mean by that? How does "being human" keep them alive?

Cypher: From what we've gathered, Stimmy has not experienced a moment of reprieve for longer than 48 hours. We don't understand

Shipmaster Avery: Understood. Continue to monitor their vitals until things change drastically. And notify me personally if anything is to change. I want a full medic team on standby for the moment they return, is that understood?

Cypher: Affirmative.

End transmission.

St. Stimmy Log 9/15/2185

Log detailing findings in Tarsh Research Station Sierra, Day 1. Expedition Day 8.

I slept for... I'm not sure how long. My entire body feels like it's melting away at the moment. I can't fully explain it, but it feels wrong. I found a lot more stims than I expected here though, so I've been able to stave the pain away. Alongside that, I've had some interesting conversations through Avery. Turns out a couple of the members received my SOS and have entered the orbit of Tarsh in order to... well, evacuate me. I'm not entirely sure why I'm being evacuated, considering they leave helldivers behind so often.

As for the data collected from here... I found the name of the place. Tarsh Research Station Sierra. Weird name, but who the hell knows why it was named that. Probably some shit about like, name, planet, location, and division it falls under. I don't really know. It's weird.

Oh right. The lab. It's your standard derelict lab. Broken lights, iffy power, some things still running, leaking water and some very dangerous corridors. Yeah. Shit's rough here. It was absolutely evacuated in a hurry for sure. Seems like the Jet Brigade rolled through here at one point. I'm also still trapped down here. Most ammo that was left down here is for plasma class weaponry and my SMG is just not cutting it. I have found some spare parts around, so I'm going to try and bootleg together a Loyalist. It probably won't be able to hold charge, but it'll be a weapon I can use. I might be able to use this SMG platform to make something cobbled together, but for now it'll just be a plasma pistol.

Mission Control has tasked me with getting the data from the lab in order to justify recollecting me but... I suppose that's fair. So far I've found a whole fistful of nothing, just some data on this weird project called HIRR. It sounds familiar, but I can't for the life of me figure as to why. The more I look, the more it looks like this facility was used for project HIRR. Everything, and I mean everything, is labelled with HIRR on it. If only I could figure out how to bypass this Class A req, I might be able to see what's on it. For the time being, I'm going to keep exploring.

However, I can't shake the feeling something terrible is going to happen. I've been rationing my food supply until I hear back from mission control as to when evac is coming. I've heard some static whispers, detailing a this weekend. Annoying, but it is what it is. I've got enough rations... assuming I even live that far... We'll see.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/16/2185

Shipmaster Avery: We cannot leave St. Stimmy down there. They are much too valuable as an asset. Yes, I am aware we can just reprint a new one, but this one has been alive for far too long to kill without at least researching them. We're going to be able to see the long term effects of that many stims as well as how St. Stimmy's mental state has held.

High Command: We understand your concern, however, the asset is a part of a cancelled program. Regardless of the data value, you'd be wasting precious tax payer dollars here. Tell them to pull the plug, put a bullet in their head, and move on to the next Major Order target.

Shipmaster Avery: May I speak freely, sir?

High Command: Tread lightly, Shipmaster. How are you going to justify this gross misuse of Super Earth taxpayer funding?

Shipmaster Avery: We have reason to believe St. Stimmy has located the Project HIRR lab . We had thought it to be destroyed after the Jet Brigade swept through, but I do believe that the data they are in the process of recovering will be worth the effort. We have also linked up with three divers who have offered their lives in order to bring the asset St. Stimmy back onto the SES Hammer of Justice, sir.

High Command: And you have evidence as to this how?

Shipmaster Avery: We have been receiving transmission logs from St. Stimmy themself, sir. They're alive for the moment, but we're unsure as to how long they can truly survive, which is imperative as to us moving now.

High Command: *sigh* Alright. We can arrange that. Transmit the data and retrieve the asset. Your ship's budget will be cut, however. Your pay docked and your PTO revoked. Is that clear?

Shipmaster Avery: Affirmative.

End Transmission.

St. Stimmy Log 9/18/2185

Log detailing findings in Tarsh Research Station Sierra Day 4, Expedition Day 11.

St. Stimmy here. I missed a few days while working on rigging myself life support. I've needed a near constant flow of stims and I keep coughing up blood. I've still no word on evac. I have all the data I can find, and now it's just about SURVIVAL. I can't... I've been getting these weird flashes in my head lately. It's like there's a whole... I can't explain it. There's other me's here. Like... This place feels so familiar. Why can't- Fuck. I hear them. They're nearby.

St. Stimmy Log 9/19/2185

SOS Transmission from St. Stimmy. Received at 01:42 SEST.

This is St. Stimmy, something, ugh, you... you know me. I need evac. I need evac now. Requesting evac from Tarsh Research Station Sierra. *coughing fit* Please. I don't know how much longer I have. I can hear them close by. Please *unintelligible* anyone. Again. St. Stimmy. Please. Tarsh Research Station Sierra. NOW.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/19/2185

Log detailing logistics of Operation Save Stimmy, documented via Shipmaster Avery.

We received contact from St. Stimmy at approximately 1:42 SEST. We've spent the past few hours deciphering as to what was said and have a basic idea. SOS, need evac. We're sending divers down there as we speak to secure St. Stimmy. I've conferred with our head scientists and have reasoned out that St. Stimmy's mental state is in an unstable decline. They have prepared a solution in order to stabilize St. Stimmy in order to gather all the necessary data from them before we give them a fresh new body.

As for High Command, we were instructed to cut the reinforcement budget by 75% and to limit stratagems to the most cost effective ones. Unfortunately for us, that means no power weaponry such as the GR-8 Recoilless Rifle or the FAF-14 Spear and no barrages. The second one shouldn't matter as much since we're only going for Evac. All other non-backpack weaponry and non-barrages are seemingly on the table. We've got to keep this operation as cheap as possible. I've seen the estimated budget reports and I'm awaiting a response.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/19/2185

Log detailing final logistical checks in Operation Save Stimmy, documented via Shipmaster Avery.

We've gotten final word back from High Command as to the force that has been allocated for our rescue operation. St. Stimmy appears to be somewhat alive. Somewhat. Their vital scans, when we can even get them transmitted, are so incredibly weak that we're not even sure they're alive. This might not be a retrieval of a person, but of a corpse.

As for weaponry allocations, we've been limited to the following:

Support Weapons: MG-43 Machine Gun, APW-1 Anti-Material Rifle, ARC-3 Arc Thrower, Las-98 Laser Cannon, Las-99 Quasar Cannon, CQC-1 One True Flag, and the S-11 Spear Gun.

Backpacks: Lift-850 Jump Pack, AX/LAS-5 "Guard Dog" Rover, SH-32 Shield Generator Pack, and the B-1 Supply Pack

Offensive Stratagems: Orbital Precision Strike, Eagle Strafing Run, Orbital EMS Strike, Orbital Gas Strike, Orbital Smoke Strike, Eagle Smoke Strike, Eagle 110mm Rocket Pods, and Orbital Railcannon Strike.

We are aware of the lack of sentries permitted. Unfortunately, I was unable to negotiate further with the sentries. We are also only allocated 2 supply pods and we are unable to provide the rescue crew with Hellpod Optimization.

As for the location, we have a generalized idea, but we will be dropping in behind enemies lines relatively blind.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/21/2185

Log detailing the absolute final logistical checks in Operation Save Stimmy, documented via Shipmaster Avery.

We've finally located the general area that St. Stimmy, an area coinciding with a data upload. Our previous reports had shown that it was Super Helldive in terms of enemy hostility. This has since changed to be Impossible in terms of resistance. This might drop further in terms of difficulty, but we're not entirely sure.

The stratagem constraints are the same as before, with only two exceptions: The Railgun and the Machine Gun Sentry have been authorized as it is shown to be ammo efficient. However, it is recommended that the team stay more stealth focused. The rescue squadron is also recommended to bring either the Ultimatum or Thermites if the need for anti-tank is that great. There is one slight addendum to this: At least one user needs to bring the P-11 Stim Pistol in order to keep St. Stimmy alive should the worst come to happen.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/27/2185

Log Detailing the results of [REDACTED], procedures moving forward, and a psychiatric evaluation following St. Stimmy's rogue expedition onto Tarsh, all documented by Shipmaster Avery.

We have quite a few things to catch up on. We'll start with the very obvious, St. Stimmy's return.

At aproximately 03:00 SEST St. Stimmy was brought back by 3 of the members of the 95th, those being [REDACTED]. According to the reports, Stimmy was technically dead twice during the mission, having to be shocked back to life via [REDACTED] and the highly experimental stims provided to them. After having their conscious emergency transferred into a new body, their old body was sent to the science bay for further research. As for St. Stimmy, they have been placed on a 1 day recovery period.

Moving forward, St. Stimmy's suits have been integrated with small nuclear battery as well as changing the upload system from every minute to a constant stream in order to make sure St. Stimmy will never be in this situation again. The Printer Technicians have gotten additional support in order to make sure this situation never happens again.

Furthermore, St. Stimmy was mandated to go into a psych eval due to their rogue launch onto Tarsh. The current transcript is still being held for a couple days in order to better assess St. Stimmy. They keep mentioning [REDACTED].

As for the data gathered from Tarsh. While it was unexpected, we have located multiple weakpoints on Tarsh, as well as civilian safe zones. The data has been sent to both high command and any SEAF units left on Tarsh. We are in the process of evacuating citizens with a small task force sent down there.

We will be providing updates as they arise. This is currently all information we have available.

SES Hammer of Justice Log 9/28/2185

Log detailing a deep space transmission coming from an unknown origin. Documented by St. Stimmy whilst on their mandatory day off.

We received contact via a deep space transmission from deep in Automaton Territory. Usually this would be disregarded as automaton malware; however, further inspection leads this to be an encrypted message sent specifically to our SES Identification Number and... directed towards me... Ever since Tarsh, I've had these weird blips in my memories, resurgences of a person called Diamond Auto. I don't know who they are... And the files from Tarsh are still being recovered, so I'll be looking at those the second they're decoded. Also, I want an egg sandwich... One sec.

Okay. Got my egg sandwich. Where was I... right. The deep space transmission. The sender addressed it as CD. Could be code for a secretive operative? I'm not entirely sure. I want to get to the bottom of this, however. After I've recovered I think it's time I do some recon. I'll need some samples and some req slips, but maybe we could triangulate their position with some satellites.

Update 2: We decoded some of the message right as I was about to finish this log.

C-0-MM. FINED. M3.

We deduce it to be Come Find Me. Strange... Who could be sending this?
