SES Widow’s Reprisal

The vessel now known as the Widow’s Reprisal predates the start of the 2nd GWOT. Once an aging frontier attack corvette, the Strigoi-class ship earned distinction hunting Illuminate scouts and relay craft during their initial resurgence through stealth strikes, torpedo ambushes, and rapid rail cannon assaults.

Prior to the invasion of Super Earth, the corvette destroyed multiple Illuminate command vessels, including the signal-mothership Choir of Glass during the defense of the Widow’s Harbor corridor. The ship survived the system’s glassing only because she was beyond the perimeter hunting enemy scouts. Returning to find the harbor burning, her crew abandoned the vessel’s original name and swore vengeance upon the Illuminate.

Among the 716th Irregulars, the old corvette is viewed less as a ship and more as an omen. Scarred, under-armored, and dangerously overworked, she remains in active service despite repeated recommendations for decommissioning.
