The SES Avenger of Reach was commissioned in 2186 with the formation of the new Freedom Alliance fleet. The name references the 116th Battalion’s Spartan squad. Its first captain is a brave Spartan, Avenger Sgt. Ash, and its first Executive Officer is Xerno.
Since its captain comes from the Spartan squad, the ship’s design and specifications faithfully reflect Spartan tactics. It is equipped with state-of-the-art cloaking technology, capable of slipping past even the largest Automaton vessels and Illuminate motherships undetected.
Because so few enemies have ever seen the Reach, and those who have rarely live long enough, the Reach has become a ghost story among the enemies of Super Earth… until it appears in the skies.
